Peter A. DeLisle, PhD
Peter DeLisle is the Leslie B. Crane Chair of Leadership Studies and Director of The Posey Leadership Institute at Austin College. Dr. DeLisle’s background in education includes award-winning teaching in engineering, education and commerce. He has held the William B. Severns Chair in Human Behavior in the College of Engineering at the University of Illinois in Urbana and is a member of the executive education faculty at the University of Notre Dame. He has also served as a program manager for the Center for Creative Leadership.
Dr. DeLisle’s industry experience includes executive leadership at Hewlett-Packard Company and Convex Computer of Dallas. He has helped found three successful companies and acted as an advisor, consultant and teacher of leaders in more than two hundred companies and communities over the last 30 years. He has served as an advisor to the National Science Foundation, the National Research Council, the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology, the E.M. Kauffman Foundation for Entrepreneurial Leadership, and the Texas Association of School Boards. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Human Resource Development Leadership and Phi Kappa Phi from the College of Education at the University of Texas in Austin.

J. Michael Crant, MBA, PhD
Michael Crant is senior faculty member in the Department of Management at the University of Notre Dame’s Mendoza College of Business. He is internationally known for his research on proactive behavior at work and has developed the “proactive personality scale,” which is the most frequently used measure of proactivity in the field of management. He holds both a BS in Business Administration and an MBA from the University of Florida, and earned his PhD in Organizational Behavior from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

David Hayes, MBA
David H. Hayes, the William Alexander Nolan Director in Family Business Enterprise at Notre Dame, is an expert in organizational culture, human resources management, executive development, strategic planning and family business planning. A recipient of the Inspiring Instructor Award for teaching in executive education at the University of Notre Dame, Hayes served as the USASBE Family Business Program Chair for the 2006 annual convention. He was also named Academic Advisor of the Year for his work with Notre Dame’s Undergraduate Entrepreneur Club. Hayes holds an MBA from the University of Notre Dame.

Gaylen D. Paulson, PhD
Gaylen Paulson is a program faculty member in Executive Education at the University of Notre Dame. He has taught in the Notre Dame Executive MBA and Master of Science in Accountancy programs and regularly leads seminars in negotiations for executives in a variety of custom programs in Executive Education. Dr. Paulson’s primary responsibility is as a member of the faculty of the management department at the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin. He received an MS and PhD in communication studies at Northwestern University. Paulson has published articles, case studies and book chapters in outlets such as The Journal of Applied Psychology, The International Journal of Conflict Management, International Negotiation, and Communication Research. He trains and consults widely, offering programs focusing on negotiation skills, managerial leadership, and strategic influence, in organizations such as 3M, Bayer, The Conference Board, Dell, Ernst & Young, HEB, Johnson & Johnson, Microsoft, National Public Radio, Pfizer, and Texas Instruments. Gaylen has a number of teaching awards for his work with executives, MBA students and undergraduates.

Paul J. Slaggert, MBA
Paul Slaggert has more than 20 years of experience in academic leadership roles at Notre Dame, the University of Cincinnati and Boston College. He has taught extensively in the areas of finance, business management and leadership. Prior to joining Notre Dame, he was Director of the Cincinnati Center for Management and Executive Development in the College of Business Administration at the University of Cincinnati for 12 years. He holds a BBA in Management from Notre Dame and an MBA in Finance from Boston College.

David Womeldorff, MS
David Womeldorff is a consultant, facilitator, executive coach, educator, speaker and author. He is co-founder of the Bainbridge Leadership Center (Bainbridge Island, WA), which is committed to facilitating emergent leadership for an integral world. As director of the center's Organization Leadership and Self Leadership practice areas, he focuses on supporting and facilitating individuals, teams, and organizations in making a conscious shift to leading and working from a vision-focused and passion-based orientation. He holds a Master's Degree in Applied Behavioral Science from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. Womeldorff regularly works in executive education at Notre Dame as a coach and mentor in Executive Integral Leadership and in a variety of custom programs.

James S. O’Rourke, IV, MA, MS, PhD
James O’Rourke teaches management and corporate communication at the University of Notre Dame, where he is a Professor of Management and Director of the Eugene D. Fanning Center for Business Communication. He is the author of numerous books, as well as the principal author or directing editor of more than 150 management and corporate communication case studies. Dr. O’Rourke is a trustee of both The Arthur W. Page Society and the Institute for Public Relations. He is a member of the Reputation Institute and the Management Communication Association, and is a regular consultant to Fortune 500 and mid-size businesses throughout North America. He holds a BBA from Notre Dame, an MA from University of New Mexico, an MS from Temple University and a PhD in Communication from the S. I. Newhouse School of Syracuse University.

Joseph A. Holt, JD
Joe Holt is the Director for Executive Ethics in the Executive Education program at the Mendoza College of Business. A former Jesuit seminarian and priest, Dr. Holt earned his Series 7 license and briefly worked as a stockbroker before enrolling in law school. Following his graduation, he worked on death-row appeal cases at the Northwestern University School of Law's Bluhm Legal Clinic and spent five years as a corporate attorney with major law firms in Chicago and Denver.
Prior to joining Notre Dame’s full-time faculty in 2004, Dr. Holt was an adjunct instructor in the University of Notre Dame Chicago EMBA program and served as a Senior Lecturer in Law and Director of the Clinic on Entrepreneurship at The University of Chicago Law School. He holds a BA in Political Science from Boston College as well as graduate degrees in Philosophy from Fordham University, Theology from the Weston School of Theology, and Biblical Theology from the Gregorian University in Rome. He earned his JD from Harvard Law School in 1996.

Leo Flanagan, Jr., PhD
As Principal of Flanagan Consultants, Leo Flanagan partners with leaders and organizations across the globe to improve performance by aligning an enterprise’s people and processes with its brand and customer loyalty strategies. His expertise is complemented by the skills he honed in leadership positions in government, political campaigns, university, healthcare, financial services, insurance, crisis response, and global-management consulting environments. Career highlights include such challenging assignments as Special Assistant to City Mayor, Deputy Director of Emergency Healthcare Services, and Senior Vice President responsible for Fortune 500 sales. Flanagan received a BA from Fordham University, an MA from Hunter College, and a PhD from the City University of New York.

Jim Davis, Associate Professor of Management and Director at Notre Dame’s Gigot Center for Entrepreneurial Studies, is an expert in family business, entrepreneurship, corporate governance, strategic planning, trust and organizational social capital. The author of numerous articles, case studies and presentations, he was named Inspirational Teacher of the Year for his work in Notre Dame’s executive programs. Dr. Davis has also received a presidential citation for his contributions to the University of Notre Dame. He holds BA and MEd degrees from Brigham Young University, an MBA from Idaho State University and a PhD from the University of Iowa.

Rajan Kamath, MBA, PhD
Rajan Kamath, founder of Artesiaa Consulting Group, has served as a consultant for some of the world’s leading companies: HaasTCM, Thomson, Toyota Motor Company in Japan, Toyota Motor Manufacturing of North America, Procter and Gamble, Cabot Microelectronics, General Motors - Mexico, Convergys, BPCL-India, Milacron, Inc., Hill-Rom, TriHealth, Inc. and Aventis. Dr. Kamath earned his PhD in Strategy from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He holds an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur (IITK) and an MBA with a specialization in Finance from the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore (IIMB).

Margot O'Brien, JD
Margot O’Brien, a CPA in Illinois, is a member of the Illinois State Bar, the Northern District of Illinois Bar and the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit Bar. Her specialties include business law, contracts, accounting liability and litigation support services. She received her BS in Business Administration from Marquette University, majoring in accounting, before graduating summa cum laude from the Notre Dame Law School.

John A. Walker, PhD
Jack Walker is a program faculty member in Executive Education in the Mendoza College of Business at Notre Dame, where he teaches leadership and change in a variety of custom programs. He is a certified psychologist who after several years of private practice and college teaching entered the field of management consulting, establishing his own company, Meta-Visions in 1979. He is an expert in leadership, managing change, effective managerial coaching and counseling, team building, creative problem solving and organizational development. An adjunct professor of executive education at the University of Michigan, Dr. Walker also teaches executive seminars at the University of Cincinnati and the University of Florida. He earned his PhD at the University of Michigan.

Timothy J. Koegel, MS
Timothy Koegel helps executives, politicians and business professionals strengthen their message and refine their delivery skills. A consultant in both the corporate and political worlds, he conducts CEO Boot Camps nationally and has coached members of the House and Senate, White House and other government organizations. He also lectures at universities and business schools nationwide, and is the author of a new book called The Exceptional Presenter, The Definitive Handbook for Showcasing Your Message. Koegel is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and is a program faculty member in Executive Education at Notre Dame in Executive Integral Leadership and in a variety of custom programs.

Leo Burke, MA, MS
Leo Burke is Associate Dean of the Mendoza College of Business and Director of Executive Education at the University of Notre Dame. Prior to joining Notre Dame, Burke spent 12 years in training and development at Motorola, Inc. He holds a BA in Sociology from the University of Notre Dame, an MA in Political Science from Indiana University, and an MS in Organization Development from Aurora University.
