Notre Dame Expands its Executive Certificate Offering Nonprofit Fund Development Program

Ever-shrinking funding sources and heightened competition have made proficiency in fundraising a top priority. To help address this dynamic, the University of Notre Dame’s Mendoza College of Business offers an online program that equips nonprofit professionals with proven methods to maximize funding – and fulfill their mission.

This executive certificate program explores fund development through a variety of angles – from all phases of the grant creation process to the foundational knowledge to successfully raise and manage funds – giving nonprofit professionals the means to drive transformational change.

“Today’s nonprofit organizations must be diligent in their efforts to secure funding, ensuring that their social programs can survive and thrive,” said Marc Hardy, Director of Nonprofit Executive Education at the University of Notre Dame. “The Executive Certificate in Nonprofit Fund Development program is designed to meet the growing demand in service fields such as health care, education and social assistance. Nurturing success in the nonprofit sector advances the Notre Dame mission while helping professionals in these organizations reach their goals.”

Those who enroll in the program join a dynamic community of online adult learners as they share their experiences, debate course topics and get advice – critical support that helps them stay energized and motivated.

“One of the greatest benefits of the program is that the online classroom gives participants front-row access to distinguished Notre Dame Mendoza College of Business faculty, who are among the most influential thought leaders in nonprofit education,” said Marc Hardy, Director of Nonprofit Executive Education. “The online environment offers enhanced learning through individualized assessments and real-life case studies, plus a robust suite of networking tools to maintain active participation and connections with classmates and instructors. Professors can experience the entire program via PC, tablet and a wide variety of mobile devices.”

Notre Dame is currently enrolling on a bi-monthly basis for this new nonprofit fund development program. For more information, please call 855-300-1475 or visit
