Elizabeth A. Tuleja, Ph.D
Dr. Elizabeth Tuleja is an Associate Teaching Professor of Management, Mendoza College of Business, at the Fanning Center for Communication. With expertise in global leadership and intercultural communication, she teaches in Notre Dame’s MBA and EMBA programs. She also leads the university’s cross-cultural immersion programs in China and South America.
Dr. Tuleja has taught and consulted in many areas of management communication. Her clients have included undergraduate and graduate students, as well as business executives from Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley, Bank of America, AXA, China Development Bank and HSBC. She was awarded the 2003 “Whatever It Takes Award” for team teaching and was nominated for the same award in 2006. Dr. Tuleja holds a Master’s degree in Intercultural Communication and PhD in Education and Communication from the University of Pennsylvania.
Ginny B. Baxter, IIDA, MBA
Ginny Baxter’s experience, education and insight merge the worlds of design and business. Ms. Baxter brings over 32 years of experience as an interior designer, manager, leader and customer. This experience includes the design of places, decision making processes, site feasibility, space utilization and workplace effectiveness studies. She uses this insight to teach students how to identify and enable workplace influences and needs, and create solutions.
An interior designer by vocation and by education, Ms. Baxter has a BS in Interior Design, an MBA and is currently in her second year of graduate work in Design Studies. She has taught at colleges and universities in education levels ranging from undergraduate to executive, and has presented to professional organizations across the nation. Ms. Baxter is also a member of the Board of Visitors for the School of Human Ecology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and has been interviewed by publications such as Fast Company, Harvard Business Review, and the Wall Street Journal.
Sondra J. Byrnes, J.D.
Dr. Sondra J. Byrnes teaches for the Mendoza College of Business at the Fanning Center for Communication. She teaches a variety of courses such as intercultural communication, management communication, persuasion, business speaking and writing, management speaking and writing, and negotiations. She has also taught at the University of Notre Dame Law School.
Dr. Byrnes received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Detroit Law School, and prior to joining the University of Notre Dame, Dr. Byrnes worked in the corporate sector – primarily in banking and utilities. She has held executive positions in marketing, corporate communication and strategic planning. As a practicing attorney, she also served as in-house counsel, working principally in the area of workplace policy.
