Janet O'Tousa teaches in the Department of Accountancy at Notre Dame’s Mendoza College of Business. She holds a BS in Biological Sciences from the University of California, Irvine, and began her career as a Research Technician. She later pursued an interest in business and taxes working for the Internal Revenue Service as a Taxpayer Service Representative and as an Auditor. Dr. O'Tousa subsequently earned her MBA from the University of Notre Dame, where she has been teaching introductory financial and managerial accounting courses for 20 years. She serves as the Faculty Advisor for Beta Alpha Psi, the international accounting honorary society, and as a mentor for students in Notre Dame's Taxpayer Assistance Program.
