Today’s workforce is becoming more and more intercultural; people of different ethnicities, genders, generations, religions and socio-economic backgrounds work together for the same companies and organizations. As a result, managers must know how to supervise and communicate across diverse cultures.
In response to this need, participants who are pursuing certain Executive Certificates through the University of Notre Dame can now enhance their credential with a specialization in Advanced Intercultural Management (AIM). Taking the AIM class as an elective adds the specialty to any of the following programs:
Coursework includes fundamentals such as defining culture and why it’s important in business. Participants also examine numerous case studies and explore advanced concepts like cultural dimensions, negotiating across cultures and managing intercultural teams.
Those who elect to add the AIM specialization to their program are eligible for exclusive cost savings, and the certificate awarded clearly notes the specialty. They also receive 12 months of access to the Cultural Orientations Indicator®, a valuable online tool designed to foster communication and collaboration among intercultural teams.
